I-Park is now accepting applications for its fully funded General Residency Program. These onsite residencies are open to artists and designers working in the visual arts, creative writing, music composition, interdisciplinary practice, moving image, architecture and landscape/garden design. The residency season runs from May 20 – November 24. Residency session dates are as follows: May 20 – June 2 (2-weeks) June 4 – July 1 (4-weeks) July 8 – August 4 (4-weeks) August 12 – September 8 (4-weeks) September 16 – October 13 (4-weeks) October 28 – November 24 (4-weeks) Located within an expansive nature preserve in rural East Haddam, Connecticut (U.S.), I-Park hosts intimate, multidisciplinary, fully funded residencies to artists from around the world. To foster a congenial social setting, all artists arrive and depart at the same time. Residents are provided with a private bedroom in a fully renovated 1840s farmhouse, a private studio and chef-prepared dinners four nights a week. Shared amenities include a communal kitchen, a Common Area for group gatherings, a modest library, 25 art/nature trails, wireless internet, a steam sauna out by the pond, a Junk Trail with lots of tantalizing art materials – and a workshop outfitted with tools, materials and equipment. Residencies are self-directed and non-judgmental. You decide what you’re going to work on and when.
