CPW is excited to announce that applications for its much-heralded Woodstock Artist-in-Residence (AIR) program are open. As one of the most prestigious residency programs for photographers and visual artists, Woodstock AIR continues its commitment to fostering artistic exploration, innovation, and community engagement. All U.S.-based emerging, mid-career, and established artists working in photography, video, and multimedia are encouraged to apply. A dynamic jury of esteemed leaders and innovators in the photographic art world will review applications to the 2025 residency: Leslie Ureña, Associate Curator of Global Contemporary Art at theMinneapolis Institute of Art; Spandita Malik, a visual artist and 2020-21 Woodstock AIR alumna; Thea Quiray Tagle, Associate Curator at the Bell Gallery, Brown University; and Shana M. griffin, a feminist sociologist, artist, and activist. Since its founding in 1999, Woodstock AIR has hosted over 175 artists, including current CPW Board member LaToya Ruby Frazier, current Saltzman Prize winner Keisha Scarville, and Tommy Kha, Deana Lawson, Paul Mpagi Sepuya, and Lola Flash, among many other talents. Participants are given the time, space, and resources to deepen their practice while engaging in meaningful dialogue with fellow artists and the regional community.
