Marquis Studios' 2025 Teaching Artist Training Institute (TATI) application is now OPEN! The Teaching Artist Training Institute (TATI) provides a free 6 week training for a cohort of 20 participants interested in working with students with disabilities and arts education. Through in-school observational visits of multidisciplinary art classes and a series of professional development workshops, TATI participants will gain a greater understanding of working with students with physical and developmental disabilities. TATI offers participants a unique opportunity to observe Master Teaching Artists as they partner with classroom staff members to plan and implement lessons, assess student needs and make adjustments in real time to best serve their students’ varying needs. CTLE credit available. Who Should Participate? TATI participants are those with a genuine interest in working with students with disabilities. Previous TATI graduates have included teaching artists, arts and school administrators, classroom teachers, museum educators, paraprofessionals, graduate students, and arts therapists. Individuals currently working in the field are also encouraged to apply. What is the Cost? TATI is FREE for all participants. Where is TATI? TATI 2025 will be at P94M, a District 75 School in Manhattan. This year’s program will be split between two of their sites: an elementary school P94M@397 (12 Spruce St, New York), and a middle school P94M@276 (55 Battery Place, New York). When is TATI? TATI 2025 will take place over the course of six Wednesdays from approximately 8:30 am- 2:00 pm occurring on: January 22nd, February 5th, 12th, 26th, March 5th, and March 12th. Does TATI offer CTLE Credit? Yes!! New York State Educators can earn up to 30 hours of CTLE credit.
